I cleaned and tidied my room a bit
feel like a luxury cat
Also, I want to put some things in other places, but coming up with anything that makes sense is hard.
Also also! I am interested in techniques for organising stuff right now
so far, what works for me for clothes is:
– throw all t-shirts in a box
– put everything else on hangers
I /might/ consider putting the t-shirts on hangers too, but tbh i /barely/ manage with the other things, soo, maybe not.
Anyway, that is kind of the level of "Putting things back to their place" that I am capable of.
Additionally:
– When I don't see things, I forget that they exist (I like the idea of putting pics of what is inside on boxes etc! but still the problem of putting things back into them)
– I don't know how to use a shelf apparently (unless it's for books, which I don't own that many of)
– dust is my arch nemesis, but I have given up the fight long ago
Sooo if you think you know a way to organise some things that I could like, plllss tell me :3
@maunzikation I put a storage system into my clothes closet and the drawers are wire mesh, so I can see into them, but still get the vertical space usage that having to be able to see into the top of an otherwise opaque container doesn't allow. I don't have the thing you described about needing to see into things, but it might work for you?
I hardly hang anything up. Only stuff that will absolutely look terrible if folded. Because it takes forever to put things on hangers and I hate it. So I've no advice on that front.
@benhamill hah, for me it's the "things that somehow ended up on my sofa" pile. hangers are terrible, but they do work a lot better for me than folding stuff, so i'm happy-ish about them! thank you for the tip about the wire mesh drawers, that definitely sounds like it could work for me.
@maunzikation I guess also, tbh, I often procrastinate putting laundry away so hard that I'm dressing out of clothes randomly piled in the laundry basket until it's empty and I need to do laundry again. Heh.
