"Widespread snowfall of 5 to 10 cm today.
An area of snow associated with a Texas Low pressure area tracking to the south of the Lower Great Lakes has arrived as forecast.
General snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are likely by the time the snow tapers off this afternoon as the low pressure area moves towards New England. Areas close to the Lake Ontario shoreline may see locally higher amounts in the 10 to 12 cm range due to extra moisture from the lake."
