My 6yo will ask me about a word and if I don't go into etymology will ask for the "real" answer. Raisin' 'em right.

@benhamill I do that with my kids. It's fun. My daughter wanted to know why the English alphabet is in the order it's in. After a massive rabbit hole, the answer is basically "maybe Sumerian musical notation, maybe a shipping manifest, and kept that way through the ages out of convenience."
