Here at the top of the hour, a campus IT colleague who is a former systems librarian is taking me up on my offer to get a back-end tour of the library's systems. This is gonna be so fun!

@ebeth Oh yeah, I totally get the venting! I'd be peeved too, not really having a choice. Especially with the loss of vacation time and the rest.

@ebeth Have only ever been on one cruise (to Alaska, on Holland America, a lot of years ago) but FWIW...there should be a lot more to do than shopping. Most of the big ships seem to have gyms, spas, libraries, and theatres (both movie and live shows). And the one I was on, there were lectures about where we were going--cultural, wildlife, and the like.

Offered a young woman a ride to school, because this is a ridiculous temperature for here. So glad she accepted. Here eyes were watering enough to tear, and it looked like they'd frozen to her face.
