@Lapis Thankful for small blessings, then. Two distraught pets would've been even more difficult.

@Lapis Fireworks are the worst. Poor kitty.

6F just before sunrise. I'm going to turn into an icecycle just thinking about it.

@ThisQueerBashesBack Goodness. You must live somewhere quite cold! Here, I'm usually fine just going with knee-high socks under my jeans. But this arctic cold is unusual. 6F this a.m.! Brrrrr.

@babelcarp I only knew because I happened to hear that episode of Bird Note! 😀

dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.

OMG y'all, there's an in-progress dictionary in limerick form: oedilf.com/db/Lim.php

Here's one for "blanket stitch:"

I've a heavy wool fabric in which
Sewing edges requires a small switch;
So to finish these jackets,
For hemlines and plackets
I'm using a blanket-type stitch.

And for "eggbeater:"

My eggbeater's gone on the fritz,
And my scrambles right now are the pits.
But I'm broke and can't buy
A replacement, so I
Will just fry eggs to serve with my grits.

(only up to Gi, if you want to contribute)

@babelcarp And their feet don't freeze! So cool.

@reedsandstrings Fingers crossed for both of us, then! (and still just love that bujo is this flexible)

@reedsandstrings I've recently found myself adding a weekly layout back in, after not liking it when I first started. Like you, I want to keep the dailies for more reflection.

@babelcarp Judging by how round the juncos are looking, I suspect they added a layer of feathers!

@ruth Oh brrrrr! And I hope he doesn't linger--too cold for either of you to be out long, no matter the layers.
