@noxy *nods* I seem to manage to find little niches of these places where that stuff is less common, though I know it goes on in the wider ecosystem.

@noxy Well, it is, in some ways (kind of depends on what someone means by "anti-Twitter"). But it's also more where Twitter was ten years ago. Smaller, not corporate, and still new enough that no one really knew where it would go and what it would become.

@noxy I suspect there's a certain amount of "people gonna people" in any social network, online or off. What you describe are all very human behaviours, and not ones that any individual is going to lose without a good bit of reflection and effort.

In addition, if someone learned to social media on Twitter, certain behaviours will likely holdover into new spaces, until/unless the person is able to learn that there are other ways of being on here.

Bad sleep (damn skunk), body hurts (damn sleep). Food/meds/tea need to kick in soon. Have errands to run and hopefully a nap to take before going to a solstice celebration at the botanical gardens tonight.

Dear self: Just because you _can_ stay up later tonight, doesn't mean you _should_.
