Trying to read Snow Crash, and I'm having a tough time getting into it. It just feels like I should enjoy it, and I would have probably read it all in one go if I'd picked it up at a different point in my life. 12 year old me would have been sold right away on a hacker with swords getting into a high speed pizza delivery chase and then going home to live in a VR world.

@erinbee even when they first read it. And do they think it objectively good. Or just fun. Or just an interesting piece of the history of cyber shit literature (I still like a lot of his stuff! But that one is so aimed at 15yr old boys)
@erinbee many of my recommendations got better once I forced people to consider the difference between good and enjoyable
@ansate I need to ask the person who recommended it when they last read it, because that might explain a few things.
