is there any reason to want to know whether a coffee pot is full other than to potentially avoid the work and inconvenience of making a new pot yourself? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_Room_coffee_pot seems like it's intended for the kind of people who want to benefit from someone else's work without having to share in that responsibility (or people who value not-making-coffee over, like, actually having coffee). otherwise why would you need to know if there's currently coffee in the pot?
