There was one thing that made me feel better: as I said goodbye to my mother, she told me that I looked stunning.
It was really hard to reconcile everything; I heard $BOYNAME and he/him/his all afternoon and then she said something that sweet.
What really bothers me is that she told me that it's hard for her to undo pronouns and names because she's known me for so long.
@quephird im@so glad she said it tho (and dat dress!) I feel like this says more about how our interactions w a lot of people are just a collection of habits. But she broke out of that long enough to see you too
