It is my honest and relatively-informed opinion that, as an adult, if you want to learn a second language, the best place to start is a formal classroom setting, especially if the professor is a native speaker of the language in question.

It sucks but we're not 3 anymore, we need to be TOLD the rules of new languages before we can try to absorb new vocabulary and all that.
