Okay that's not entirely true. I did WANT to try out majora's mask and oot, lttp and awakening. Only awakening held my attention for long though, and even then I got frustrated with it. :( Botw still makes me go "oh hell that looks rad as fuck."

Same? But I dunno, botw is... Very anachronistic? Like it's clearly fantasy but... Some bits are like... Super tech? Or give the impression of being so? Like... Far past a near apocalypse, so lost tech and all that... Which absolutely is my jam

The original game may have been inspired by english folklore and has clear arthurian influence, but the setting is fairly as unique as mario in some games so there's that
