@anthracite good for you. i do weight training but starting cardio in earnest feels so difficult. i never stuck with it long enough to make appreciable progress

if you're doing resistance training as well research seems to support doing resistance and cardio on separate days to maximize gains in each. body gets confused if they're right on top of each other.

today someone i'm close with treated me poorly and shortly thereafter i was overcome with a wave of anger

contrary to my usual MO i sat them down and verbalized it. to my surprise, they did not explode in response and the situation ended up mostly working itself out, though i'm still not happy with what they said to trigger it.

a few hours later and i'm not dwelling on it like i might've had i said nothing. i'll take it.

yesterday at the gym this really buff, thick dude wore very form-fitting spandex tights and it was, err, very aesthetically pleasing

i was kind of surprised and pleased to see a guy brave enough to wear (a guy version of) something mostly seen on women, at least in the gym context
