after hearing stories from friends that match mine to an eerie exactness i'm 95% sure i have some form of ADD or related condition

friends who've gotten treatment describe it as night and day improvement, being able to accomplish tasks like never before, not losing entire days to procrastination... sounds amazing

i have a psych appt. for 2/20 so hopefully i can get a diagnosis soon

if it all pans out then i will have lived 20 years as an adult before stumbling upon the fact that whatever is wrong with me is treatable. that i'm not "just lazy" which has been my default narrative

anyway, we'll see

i'm having carbs about twice a week now. enjoyed some rice / quinoa mix with dinner tonight

doesn't seem to affect weight loss much, maybe even kickstarting it sometimes? bodies are weird

i get back to my default keto not-hungry mode very quickly, if i even leave it. guess that's good.

I've sunk over 24h into Defender's Quest so far. pretty solid tower defense with RPG elements. apparently it's hitting the current consoles soon.

suicide has been crossing my mind every day since before the holidays. i don't feel close to acting but jfc it's annoying to dwell on it constantly

i got new insurance that will likely pay for a therapist starting in march. long needed

my baby-saving trump-voting flag-saluting mother tried to make contact before the holiday but i have not yet replied. i write several responses in my head every day but it's better not to say anything, because that would start a new phase in having to deal with her betrayal

then again, i'm not exactly thriving in this avoidance pattern either
