streaming on twitch (which i haven't done since july, need to get back to it soon) has been surprisingly positive for my self-perception. getting used to my recorded voice and how i appear on camera -- and not reflexively hating both, though i'm still sensitive -- is a real positive development

(also, my sound engineer friend's EQ settings alone make the new mic sound sooo much better than my jank old lapel thing. lookin' forward to usin it)

had a nice video chat with my friend O who's vacationing in saigon

i gave her nootropic tips and she (an audio engineer) helped better equalize my mic.

mistakenly bought an HDMI audio extractor for the switch i have coming because i forgot my TV can do that. oops

the switch cost $50 after Wii U trade-in credit and an xmas gift card factored in. less than those damn expensive nintendo games!
