@LottieVixen so far i just want to play mario and zelda (for the first time in a few gens)
@revenant my mom bought a generator

going to give this 2018 thing a shot
my friend just went live on facebook and she is streaming Christmas NiGHTS with no explanation
wrong holiday but it somehow works
@turbodragon for some reason your toot is fading in and out on my screen, very strange
@matt it's really only about D1? jeez
i guess i don't play super-hard maps cuz i don't need the BFG for life or death usually. if you aim and angle correctly at point blank you can down a cyberdemon in 2 shots
@hellojed it's the desk. destroy it
@matt oh they actually bring it up again at 35:45
@matt don't think so

they're otherwise pretty on top of things re: doom. opinions i guess!
listening to a podcast where a classic doom expert says there's not much ammo in doom 1
(there is a huge surplus of it)
it's so bizarre

feel like i wanna do a castlevania SOTN play soon but with a twist
99 luck code prolly, and maybe there's a solid romhack now
the game needs to be more difficult, but it seems like it can be hard to do that in a fun way, for whatever reason
this hard-type hack has good reviews, surprisingly. promising
Keep it gay, folx.

@fjthom @Robf @pixelguff nice. the comment's right, sounds right at 1.25x speed.
this is cool actually, need to find a rip
@fjthom @Robf @pixelguff 3DO (and saturn??) had that cool live-recorded soundtrack at least :)
@fjthom @Robf @pixelguff jag doom had a plausible framerate, networked multiplayer and most of the original levels without many geometry edits (unlike PS1 Doom)
strangely, it only had music on the intermission screens
for the truly shite doom ports you need to venture to 3DO and Saturn

rebecca heineman's story of porting Doom to the 3DO is incredible
