ehhh to be honest i prefer the old goofy capcom translation. this one is more mediocre-writer-trying-to-be-clever and the forced german accents

buttt there were a surprising number of in-game changes like breakable barriers in area 4 (am i forgetting those??), blue ally guys in the overhead encounters and a hidden developer room that unlocks a weird cheat where you get a spinning POW power-up if you press A+B

anyway game still holds up. i feel super old knowing that, as the ending reveals, super joe was an "old man" in 2010 and is looking back with nostalgia at our successful 1989 mission to re-kill hitler
