i finally gave into a friend's pressure to buy overwatch. do you like it?
aside from a year of WoW at launch i'm not usually a blizzard fan, and i don't gratitate toward multiplayer anymore. my friend loves playing in her friend groups though, says it's half just a chatroom, so that could be fun. i'll give it a shot.
@colon_three everything i hear about competitive sounds Not Appealing
hopefully there are plenty of other compelling ways to play
@alyx arcade mystery heroes is fun imo
@alyx i enjoyed it a fair bit, despite not being a fan of blizzard. it did a good job filling the hole tf2 left in my heart when it f2p'd itself to death. haven't been playing OW much lately though, since other games exist - especially since Splatoon 2 came out, which is a better (if less popular) game :p

i grew to like comp more than QP, but only if you're in a group of 6 friends. matchmaking's less volatile.
@lifning oh my goodness, that's a lot of games played!
i am also a displaced TF2er. "FTPed to death", well put.
@alyx yeah, i did log a looot of time in it lol. it has its moments...

@alyx a word of warning: if you don’t have a group of friends to join with, voice chat (and text chat) is usually pretty shitty
though rarely you get a perfect nice group of 5 other random people all on voice chat being positive and calling out targets and cooperating, it is amazing but also not common enough to count on.
@r4v5 yeah, i've read quite a few articles on OW's toxicity. luckily i'll have a friend to mostly tag along with, it seems :)
@alyx i wanna get back into it but i'm too burnt out on competitive
