ohhhh my favorite! I think I read everything he ever wrote, a lot of it more than once. his food descriptions are super appealing to me always. I prefer him to dark tower in that I find him less tied to a particular vision of morality ... also, just downloaded nevada now, it's next on the list for me.
@Eve oh, neat. yeah he is SUCH a good writer. makes me envious.
i dunno him much beyond dying earth. lemme know if you have some faves to rec!
@alyx I do remember getting bored with whatever the first one was about Cugel though (eyes of the over world?), the second one I think I enjoyed way more. maybe just because I read it first.
other ones, let's see. I have my favorites but some of them I haven't read in a very long time. i liked the lyonesse books, which I think are in print now. there is a series called "planet of adventure" which I recently bought and its sitting on my shelf but I don't know if it will be good anymore :)
@Eve yep, it's the first cugel i'm mired in. then i was like, and there's another? blah. maybe i'll push through.
i'll check out those others!
@Eve cool.
i stopped at the part where he's about to get a band of religious pilgrims senselessly killed
@alyx eh I think it's more or less more of the same in this sense, just a sequence of absurdities but the writing is so fun
