So the only way to play my PS2 currently is by wiring it up to my capture box and using the HDMI output from that.
Unfortunately, the capture box is not very good. After powering it on, it needs to be connected to a PC with its drivers installed, or else it won't display anything. Once it's connected, it works! You can even disconnect the USB cable! Until you want to switch display modes, then you have to reconnect it. Otherwise it shows a blue screen until you go back to the first mode.

Good thing most PS2 games are 480i only, so I can just leave it alone. But if I wanna boot up ATV Offroad Fury 2 and switch it to 480p (which makes it look *much* better and less jittery on my crappy monitor), I gotta have my laptop handy to plug it into.
Kinda annoying, huh. But my setup ain't the greatest anyway. I need a proper monitor, first of all.
(And believe it or not, there are some Dell monitors with component inputs these days!)

Okay I haven't ranted about this shitty monitor yet though, have I? It's this piece of junk my roommate got last year, it's 4K but the refresh rate is awful at ANY resolution, even ones it CLAIMS it's doing 60 Hz on. Also occasionally it flickers or goes all pink-tinted, but so far I haven't seen the latter in my own usage. The reviews are terrible and report the same problems.

@alyx I figured HDMI was a given, haha. No need for the other stuff, I'm pretty sure I have adapters lying around, and if not, they're easy to come by.
I was leaning toward TV since they tend to have picture size settings conducive to consoles, which might be useful for the PS2. But a monitor would probably work just as well, especially for the Switch. I don't have speakers, but some monitors do have them...but all I really need is a headphone jack. (Another requirement, oops.)
