i got maybe 10-15 minutes of enjoyment out of the parts where the female power fantasy shined through and the rest was mediocre blockblustering

though the overall film is just ok, i absolutely love that young girls now have a fuckin kick-ass heroine they can more easily identify with, and also that the box office is showing that people want to see this sort of thing

there was quite a decent amount of applause in my theater, which i appreciated. that's fairly uncommon these days!
