@marcelle Since Mastodon, I've quit using Facebook almost entirely. I think it'll be the next social media to go. I'm just not interested in an internet where I'm expected to interact solely with people I grew up with or worked with or are related to. I'd rather interact with people who actually have similar interests to mine (weird, I know).

I am so happy. I just got a call from the shop where my tattoo artist *used to be* employed and they informed me that they are going to return my deposit, so I don't have to deal with that tattoo artist after all. I feel like this huge weight has been lifted. Now I can go check out this other shop in town that's owned by female artists, and see if they'd like to do some work for me. ☀️

@emdeesee I think my mom is finally disillusioned with FB, which means I can delete and never look back. when she's in town next month, I'm going to teach her how to text gifs, and maybe that'll be a new thing we can do instead.

@soestpirat and I never will again, but when Spotify first became available, one could only sign up through their facebook profile. 👎🏽

@numimyon If you originally signed up for Spotify with a FB account (as I did) you'll need to make a new account with a different email. BUT once you've done this you can use a contact form to tell Spotify that you want to move your old account to the new one, and a person will transfer all your playlists to the new account (and will initiate a "chat" with you on the website to make sure it transferred properly before they delete your old account for you).

I did finally manage to get Spotify extricated from FB, so I can delete that at any time now. 🌈 ✨

I accidentally deleted both of my IG accounts yesterday, so I guess that's over. I might try to find a better place for sharing photos since that's the only thing I was really sharing on social media anymore. but maybe not. I don't know.
