@viTekiM I wish I had an opportunity to meet someone and hit it off with them and then oh, yeah, I'm a tattoo artist. and it turns out they're a badass artist. that would be ideal.

because I LOVE my tattoo, I am attempting to overlook behavior from my tattoo artist that I would NEVER accept from any other human being in a service industry. I'm thinking about going somewhere else, but it's a tattoo. it's forever. isn't it better to just sit through the pain of a shitty human being for however long it takes in order to have something beautiful on you forever? Isn't that what tattoos are really about?

I love the work my tattoo artist does. I hate my tattoo artist. 😕

SO it sounds like because I have preK-12 ESL certification, I shouldn't have to take any Theater classes in order to add on that licensure!!!!!!

@filkerdave to teach Theater in this state at my dream school, yes. and what's really stupid is that there aren't Theater programs in most schools until you get to 9-12, and High Schools don't want just a Theater teacher. they want someone who can teach Theater in addition to a core subject, like English. so the Theater teaching courses should just be an add-on that you do during grad school, like they'll do with ESL or Special Ed or something like that.

@filkerdave I know, right? I am certified by the state to teach 6-12. some smarty pants decided Theater teachers need a K-12 certification (because there are SO MANY Kindergarten theater troupes in Tennessee, I guess), so instead of just taking a Theater Praxis, I have to take classes in order to earn K-12 certification.

why doesn't 30 hours of English, a BA in Religious Studies, and a MS in Education equal certification to teach Theater to High Schoolers? considering that I've acted in and directed plays? WHY. it's starting to sound like after I earn my Master's degree (this Thursday), I'm going to have to find more money to take more classes so I can teach children how to act, which I am already completely qualified for.
