Every now and then I think about film photography and how like so many people seem to really like it so I feel like I should try it but I just don't feel any real *reason* to want to try it? Like am I missing something? What would I get out of that? The challenge of having a fixed iso? Just something new? Idk what do people like about film, that I actually personally care about?

@masklayer i know its silly but film photos look /different/ to me. i like having weird grain and issues with developing and taking photos and forgetting about them until you develop them. also if you get the chance to work in a darkroom that process is so cathartic and fun and cool

@agaric They do look different! That is a thing. I just don't feel like I don't personally need that look enough to try it... and I'd rather not have my pics themselves have a look that you notice rather than the subject matter????? But I guess it's all part of the same thing no matter what.

@masklayer ahh yeah i get that. different strokes i suppose. personally i started out shooting film when i was in highschool because it was a lot more accessible to me (cheaper cameras but more money spent on film/developing) and havent done it much recently... i definitely recommend darkrooms though
