@agaric Same. I mean, they're good when mixed with other oats, so you get multiple textures in one bowl. But they're kind of mushy and unappealing on their own.

This is coming from someone who also loathes butternut squash soup for the same reason, mind.

@agaric A friend of mine swears that you should cook it in a crock pot / slow cooker. In then end though, you still get gruel just like any other oatmeal.

@agaric I thought this thread was a callback to the oat mania from like 6 weeks back and was surprised people were actually talking about food.
