if you hadn't guessed by now

crumpets are awful

sincerely

a brit.

who doesn't understand why other brits DO like crumpets. *throws hands up in defeat*

@Nine this but replace "brits" with "southerners" and "crumpets" with "grits"
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Vann what the heck are grits

they sound awful

like...

like someone took grit from a bin on the side of a road meant for gritting roads in the winter to stop ice building up and shoved it on a plate

i mean i know that's not what they are actually like but...

i can't get that image out of my head

@Nine "Grits are a food made from corn that is ground into a coarse meal and then boiled."

People eat it for breakfast a lot. It tastes pretty much how it sounds like it would.

@Vann @Nine I'd argue that grits have no defined taste as they vary from region to local region so wildly that their only defining traits are "Southern" and "Not good"
