My wife calls out to my son.
"Before you say anything," he says, entering the room. "I know you're going to say my grades went down a little, and my teachers say I talk too much, and I'll say something like, I can do better, then we'll argue about it."
He looks at her as if he's covered all the bases. She pauses.
"I was just going to ask you if you want some ham inside your grilled cheese sandwich," she responded, only now noticing the paper on the counter.
"Oh. Yes, please."
Trans male friends too! I only specifically mentioned cis cause trans men tend to get the short end of the stick economically and socially.
But I support all men that aren't unrepentant assholes.
I'm not saying all men (not even ironically, I really have cis male friends and appreciate them), but like, the men that argue that men and women can't work together? Say "okay" and fire them on the spot. There is no reason for the man to be valued over potential women wanting a job and it sounds like their position could do with freeing.

I'm tired of being resigned to the idea of what's "good enough" to work in the system. I'm tired of our collective cynicism not allowing us to strive for better. I have only one life on this planet, damnit, I'm gonna support the best system I can where I can.
