I'm still trying to unlearn so many ableist habits and thought structures.
Like, since when did it ever feel acceptable to say "That person is crazy" with implied "[Therefore we should stop caring about them]"?
When some alt right leaning types talk about suicide to me, especially from at-risk groups targeted by bigotry and bullying, they always say "Those people must have had other things going on" as if it should end there.
What things? What things were going on that caused them to kill themselves? Introspection there leads to the thought we should change things, so it's not made.
