the only game ideas I've ever had are 1) my own overdone Yume Nikki game and 2) a dating sim where it's impossible to get a good ending if you follow the typical dating game tropes instead of interacting like a reasonable human being

@gravezwave I haven't played dating sims much before at all. Is "break them up so I get with one" a common trope?

@Ulfra_Wolfe I don't know if there are actually that many where you have to actively break up a relationship, but I've played a few that have a character who is in a prior relationship and going their route either reveals that their current s/o is bad in some way and pits you against them so you eventually "win" the love interest. which to me is kind of... sketchy, when you think about it.

@Ulfra_Wolfe I also just wanted to have a thing where there is no "correct" route that gets the character to fall in love with you for some of them. the best ending for one or two characters is that you can have a strong, fulfilling friendship and trying to force it to be romantic actually wrecks things.
