What helps when someone stabs you in the heart? I'm still trying to figure that out.
@Ulfra_Wolfe Figuring out how to protect yourself from being stabbed again. Time to heal. Trying to separate the bad action from the people who committed it, to the extent possible. Forgiving the person, if I can. Protecting myself from them in the future until they show me they won't hurt me again, regardless.
This person just... seemed to care about me so much, then... ditched me like I was yesterday's news.
Moved on almost instantly.
I'm still crying.
Why am I crying over this?
@Ulfra_Wolfe Because it's fucking hard to deal with that.
Like.. honestly. *offers hugs* Sometimes that doesn't leave. We just get better living with it.
@Ulfra_Wolfe Because it's a sudden departure of a loved one regardless of context.
Because you're not a drone. You have a heart, and that heart can be torn.
Surround yourself with the loved ones who stay, and look forward, not back. Don't expect this to work in the snap of a finger. Time a necessary healer too, but know the wounds DO heal.
@KawaSeadrake Healing. Yes. I need to look at it that way. Healing.
@Ulfra_Wolfe This happened to me like three years ago and it still fucking sucks. Can't trust anyone.
@Ulfra_Wolfe grieving, mourning, outreach to friends.. When you trust someone who gets intimately close to you, and they take advantage of this to hurt you, it's traumatic.. And while I wasn't there, I'd argue this trauma is from abuse, and so it takes a while to heal and trust again. :x
@Ulfra_Wolfe hah, well, you did that for me, when I had my own stab wounds to recover from...I wish to return the favor, as I can.
@kara_dreamer Not sure what anyone can do. I'll recover in time.
@Ulfra_Wolfe honest advice from someone who had a hard time stopping my love for a partner who hurt me deeply just after our marriage: don't stop spending time with your friends.
