kinda realizing that all the reasons that I tell people I prefer short hair have absolutely nothing to do with looks

I've been conditioning myself for decades to regard _convenience_ as the chief reason to dress, do up my hair, &c. in a certain way but that's kinda rubbish, that's just because I convinced myself I wasn't worth effort

@kara_dreamer it's a thin line, but i say if you have an appetite to switch it up, it's worth the effort :)

@GlitchThief @kara_dreamer My long hair is a mess of tangles more often than not and I'm not the best at caring for it, but I still prefer it to short hair!

@Ulfra_Wolfe @kara_dreamer i've always worn my hair uh... well, long for a boy, but I wouldn't call it long. I don't really know how to grow hair out though. like, if i just leave it be it'll be a tangled mess all over my face... i know it requires at least a bit more effort than that haha

i have really curly hair and i've love to wear it in a more feminine style

@Ulfra_Wolfe @kara_dreamer @GlitchThief Two tips for growing your hair long: only shampoo three times a week tops (you can wash and condition every day), and make sure to get your hair cut. When getting your hair cut, only get about a half inch to an inch removed.

It seems odd, but the ends of your hair get damaged, causing the strands to dry out and stop growing. By getting your hair cut regularly, you help promote growth.
