I don't sound cis passing so I guess I'll just never open my mouth to talk ever again
@TipsyTentacle Also the thing where you swallow and hold your Adam's apple until you can lift it yourself works. It also doesn't trigger dysphoria like other techniques, and you can do it discreetly. I'm sorry if you've tried this before but I hope it helps <3
@alana never heard of this. I'll definitely try it, thank you <3
@TipsyTentacle Just keep in mind that it does take a while, but if you make it like a habit and do it whenever you're bored it'll help a lot! Also lots of water!
<3 Best of luck.
@alana
Would it be better to know how long it usually takes? Or would knowing just make me sad?
@TipsyTentacle It really differs for everyone. For me I saw improvements in like two weeks but my age etc. makes it easier.
Also, remember that there's never really a point where it stops helping. So you can like do the technique forever and it'll always probably help.
@TipsyTentacle If you're asking how long it takes to pass as a cis girl... I wouldn't know... I still have a longggg way to go.
Remember that cis girls also use a slightly different vocabulary, inflection (generally pitch rises towards end of sentences almost as if they're asking questions.)
A lot of this is a result of misogynistic BS; you don't need to emulate all of it to pass. But passing is a lot of work; we'll do it, you and me both. <3
@TipsyTentacle You'll get there, love <3
I believe in you~! https://witches.town/media/uTc359zZq7fserU05U8
@TipsyTentacle It's a long process but I've been making a lot of progress doing voice training, you should try <3 I hope things get better!
