ghost tentacle @TipsyTentacle

SO THIS ONE CLASS AT MY UNIVERSITY, THE CLASS WHERE THEY WEED OUT COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJORS BEFORE LETTING THEM TAKE UPPER DIV COMPUTER SCIENCE CLASSES, A PROFESSOR ONE QUARTER WOULD GIVE YOU EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU POSTED ANYTHING TO HACKER NEWS AND GOT A DECENT AMOUNT OF KARMA. SAME FOR /R/PROGRAMMING. (I have no idea how much karma).
🤔 😦 👀

@tcql I AGREE
I AM SO GLAD I DIDN'T HAVE THAT PROFESSOR

@TipsyTentacle the other day somebody in a discussion at work said something along the lines of "but how would I check hackernews then?" and i was like "you WOULDN'T and it'd be GREAT"

@TipsyTentacle wow this is the worst extra credit thing I've heard of

@TipsyTentacle major classes about weeding out students sound so scary ;;

@TipsyTentacle i wish to destroy this person with my teeth

@TipsyTentacle God CS profs are the fucking worst and I wanna drink every fucking time one of them mentions fucking reddit or hacker news

Do they come talk down to you about reddit too? They always did to me

@TipsyTentacle lol, CS profs after I came out talked down to me a lot, and for some reason particularly so about reddit, a site I knew significantly more than them about. Not sure if you had the same experience lol

@HeckTheCistem I never really came out to my professors since I got the impression that most of the computer science people (facility and students) were transphobic. (:

@TipsyTentacle it started out terrible with "weed out" and just went downhill from there.

@TipsyTentacle Ah, right, that's be tech "culture", right?

Thank the goddess I learned all that I needed to know about programming when I was way too young to take any computer science classes.

@TipsyTentacle ughghghghhghghgh

fffffufuuuuuuuuffff

(hi i might be a cs professor one day AND I WILL NEVER DO THIS FFFFFF FFFF

@TipsyTentacle this is tilting on so many levels. ive had so many bad cs profs but that's just, just, no
