@TipsyTentacle I had a coworker go on about spanking and other pointless punishments the other day and he didn't seem to get the blank stare I was giving him

Anti intellectual ism is terrible and I hate it. From global warming to vaccines to anti LGBT propaganda.... Urgh...
And the worst part is that these people have the audacity to claim science backs them up.

@TipsyTentacle It always feels like I've entered a crazy bizarro world when I see US people defending it, because over here it's been 100% illegal for a generation+ and kids have not been growing up to be unmanageable disasters! You don't even need it!

@TipsyTentacle the worst is when people are like, well, my religion requires me to do beat my kids. And it's like if that's what you get out of that book your religion is immoral
