So like... Google and Facebook are colonizers of the web. They arrived when the web was a wild realm of free open source software, and they took it over. They subjugate the open source technologies and use them to run their for-profit enterprises. They extract our labor with ads. They lock us in software reservations with restricted apps. They monitor and judge our activity with pervasive spyware. And they tell us they are the innovators. The benevolent dictators.

tone policing does not only take place the moment a person is being silenced for their tone. it is also taking place when someone is being heard because their tone is nice enough for the people in power. tone policing is a passive state that establishes the level discourse permitted by oppressed people. its a broad level of control over the voices of the oppressed.

i would like to sleep but im too busy thinking of the ways that trans misogyny exempt feminists have fucked me over with their organizing which perpetuates a transmisogynist status quo yet claims to be radically progressive. it sucks that they claim such lofty ideals but never live up to it, because people who deal with multiple intersecting oppressions like me woukd go in to that space expecting something better. a place where i wont be tone policed, victim blamed, gaslit, or attacked for speaking up about my own experience with transmisogyny. but in reality its just as oppressive, heirarchical and tolerant of emotional abuse as non-progressive spaces.

3) Canary traps (in printers, scanners, on money)
4) TEMPEST shielding; laser microphones; extracting sound from video frames
5) problems with WIFI & bluetooth encryption
