"We are looking for a full-stack developer."
Yeah well I'd like to ride a unicorn for money too but that's not gonna happen.
@Strabysme Oh! A full-stack developer refers to a person who has all of the skills of a front-end developer and back-end developer. Full-stack developers are largely considered a myth, ergo unicorn. ^_^
For me a full-stack dev doesn't have "all" the skills, but enough skills to deliver.
So it's not really a myth, any start-up with less than 2-3 devs have full-stack devs.
I get where you're coming from, but the idea behind the whole Myth argument is that a person who has skills in one area is sacrificing necessary skills in another to learn them.
Do I think it's 100% true? Not really, but that's the joke.
Yeah I get it. :)
But I still find there is a kind of "full-stack guys doesn't exist" idea among Devs today, that I'm not very comfortable with.
I getcha. Maybe I'm just being silly.
@ThatVeryQuinn @Strabysme thank u!! :3
@Strabysme No problem! There was a neat conversation a bit farther down about it, too!
@ThatVeryQuinn @Strabysme I've read it it's interesting ^^
@ThatVeryQuinn I don't get it :x
(I'm not a developer, I don't get those jokes, sorry >w< but I'm curious)
