I feel like I'm being ignored, and when I try to reach out we get into a maybe four sentence conversation. I worry about distance.
@ThatVeryQuinn One of my good friends was in rochester. He was stuck in one of the old folks homes, there, only occasionally visited by his daughter. Though he had the internet to keep him occupied, a connection with a human being being was always appreciated.
He was not the only one. If you find the people in your life don't appreciate you, look older, and keep doing so until you find people who are lonely. I assure you, they exist near you.
