@seasharp @wassimy Twitter killed its app ecosystem because they had their official app that got exclusive access to the API and features that other apps had no way of implementing.
Mastodon is the opposite of that. The API is the same for all apps, the web client you see is using the same API that all apps would use. And I'm not doing any "official" apps, instead relying on the ecosystem: Tusky, Amaroq, Tootdon, Subway Tooter, etc etc
