One of life’s greatest joys is getting a cat you just met to purr
working on a Mastodon flyer generator with @maloki to help spread the word on other sites:
https://codepen.io/benjbrandall/pen/yKPvbV
The idea is that we could have a variety of designs and sample texts that appeal to different people, e.g. "Love Linux? Join linuxrocks.online"
we hope to crowdsource development, so would love help with:
* source images for the flyers
* suggested text snippets
* improving the functionality (maybe a dropdown to switch between source images?)
let us know if you can help :)
on the one hand it's karaoke
on the other hand it's with "people" from "work"
so i guess ill only dress half gay
"We are looking for a full-stack developer."
Yeah well I'd like to ride a unicorn for money too but that's not gonna happen.

@schaptal De rien, ça me semble être le minimum.
David Gerrold not only predicted smartphones very accurately in 1999, he mentioned their implications, too:
@CoyoteWags “this is it. This is where Forrestal cashed in.”
“A friend of yours?”
“A competitor. He was good. He was very, very good.”
“Please senor, no-one has come out of that place lossless.”
We have uncovered artifacts in the ancient temple of JPEG.
@Sheinicorn You're magic ^_^.
So. Yeah. That's my readmission of being a formerly shitty person. If you want to unfollow or such, I don't mind.
I personally think that who we used to be heavily influences who we are now, no matter how hard we try to make that not the case. With that in mind, I don't think that anything but complete transparency over who we used to be and what we have done/are doing is warranted.
And the last thing I want people to think is that I am not 100% transparent about any of this. Idk.
I have been accused of being sexually manipulative (and I can understand/see the argument in that case and am deeply ashamed), I have been mutually abusive, I used to be a conservative, then a libertarian, then a liberal, etc. I have been violently emotional, lashed out at people, carried racist thoughts, etc.
I like to think I've grown, and I want to own up to the shitty person I used to be, but it still worries me, as I don't want people to think I'm still that way. I can't stop people, though, and so I just gotta work to be better and better. Prove I'm not that person, y'know?
Like, I used to be not a good person. I've done and said many shitty things, had many shitty opinions, in my life.
I've grown, but it still sticks with me. I don't want that to inform people's opinion of me as a person, or as an admin (if it gets that far) but I can't stop them and frankly, I can't blame them.
