@Laurelai A mostly French speaking instance, oriented toward feminism and LGBT people. I wanted to be big enough that there is always new interesting things in the local timeline, but to be small enough so there I could still check it. I want to have a strict moderation policy. And it would be nice if it had a custom theme.

@sempervirenx It's the size, the customization and/or the fact that a lot users speak French there.

@Sylvhem for the french users and customization part I think that's where Shad is aiming with their instance. Probably quite small atm though

(I saw a lot of french users go to socialwxcafe.net too when we all left mastodon.social last year but idk what the timeline looks now)

@sempervirenx Yeah, there is Shad instance. But if I must go to a small instance, I think I would prefer to create mine. At least I'll have full control other a lot of fun things.
Also, as most I like what Shad have done with her place, I don't think it's exactly the kind of things I aiming.

I'm not sure for social.wxcafe.net either. It's one of my favorite instances, but I'm not sure the admin really wants to see me on it right now.

@Sylvhem I think I recommended pentacl.es to you before, but I don't know my ears from my eyes as far as your specific needs are concerned. Hope you find a place where you can be happy. 🙏
