But that's not what is happening here. What is happening is that there is a 4chan campaign running for *months* that try to make her banned from all the online places where she is active.

@Sylvhem Assuming it’s the same person (since the username matches), this drama has been happening on and off since 2012 if not longer. /r/SubredditDrama has absolutely wild stories (no idea how true or false they are) about very similar Reddit drama from that era, including LGBT safe spaces going to war with each other.

These campaigns have been going on for years instead of months (but it seems much more active now)

i haven't seen any reports of laurelai being a rapist except from ed/kiwifarms/lolcow.

@viomi @Sylvhem i'm not trying to engage in bad faith, i'm pointing out that the two primary accusers have themselves had warnings issued against them by the community, and also that their stories are almost exclusively reprinted in ed/kiwifarms/lolcow. unless hannah and zinnia are *themselves* untrustworthy, in which case we're back to square one.

@viomi @Sylvhem but then do we listen to rapists who accuse people of being rapists? because as far as I can tell, the accusations go both ways. if hannah accuses zoey and zoey accuses laurelai and laurelai also accuses zoey, then what is anyone supposed to make of it all? who do we trust? do we only listen to the rape accusations that have been amplified? there doesn't seem to be an easy answer when it comes to something this heavy.

@viomi i'm asking if we should trust rapists who claim to also be victims of rape, or if multiple parties are accusing each other. also the evidence isn't as clear because those alt-right fucknuts have muddied the waters, and a lot of the accounts who keep resurfacing this stuff have a habit of disappearing soon after, which hints toward a smear campaign. this literally *just* happened with the masto accounts who mass-reported laurelai on switter

@viomi tldr when the accusations are coming from a) socks and b) people themselves accused of rape by third parties, and c) only resurfacing when politically convenient, it looks really suspicious

@viomi personally i have a hard time accepting things that are this muddy at face-value and i don't know what to believe. it's outside my periphery since i don't know any of the people involved but as an outside observer it just looks really sketchy
