lol ok so my mom asked if i called my grandma and i told her i had no energy
and suddenly she was like "sounds like burnout" and "you gotta go to the doctor asap and get that treated"

...

did i dream that horror scenario at Christmas where we tried to tell her that i probably had a burnout in a long frustrating discussion?

...

also cool to know that at least burnout is a valid mental illness

@Sylvhem yeah, kind of. it's frustrating how arbitrary it is what she'll accept/understand but yeah, better than having her tell me how questionable it is to take medication or how disappointed she is when i have to quit things? weeelp.

@Sylvhem yes. :< it was very hurtful and upsetting. but i just don't know how to convey to my mom that my mental illness isn't something i can't help.
