Goedemorgen alle heksen en andere creaturen!

@rey @alyx I had my own BBS back then. It never got very popular, because the Internet was already lurking and BBS's were losing their popularity when I opened it. But those pre-Internet years defined so much of my relationship with technology and online communication.

@alyx @rey Oh dear, BlueWave and BBS! Those were the times. ❤

I've done the dishes, yay!

And I'm still tired. Should continue editing. That novel won't write itself.

Maybe some tea to speed things up.

@tcql What if we just adopted ”hey geese” in general use? 🤣

@Willvs Don't worry, I wasn't blaming you, I got it was the default translation.

”Tallenna muutokset” means ”save changes”. I guess it has been used as a translation for ”submit” in some odd context and then just copied to another context without revising.

(Me, looking at our kitchen)

I could do these dishes
I could try to do these dishes
I could decide to do these dishes

Or I could go to Australia

@wxcafe @Alda Buuuut I'll see if I have something to contribute on the Finnish file instead. ✨

@Alda @wxcafe The thing is, I'm not Dutch myself, but I'd like to be. So I can't submit one, I'm sorry.🙂

I'd change my UI language to Dutch, but here on we have so nice localised English UI and only default Dutch UI, so I don't want to miss it... Life can be hard sometimes!

@Willvs ”Finnish: TALLENNA MUUTOKSET!”

Really? This must be a joke. (Or more likely a bad machine translation.)

A proper translation of TOOT! in Finnish would be one of the following:
- TÖÖTTÄÄ! (sound of a car horn)
- TUUTTAA! (the same, but also euphemism for fart)
- TÖRÄYTÄ! (sound of an elephant, but also euphemism for fart)

I'd recommend the second of these.

Who's doing this translation stuff anyway?

I made an instance previewer, so you can see the local/federated feeds of an instance without signing up: unmung.com/mastoview?url=xoxo.

@sempervirenx Is Memphis siamese or half-siamese? I had with my ex two half-siamese cats with similar colour pattern. I guess the pattern was the most singular around where we lived, because so many people commented on their odd looks!

Oh how I miss those cats. They're still living with my ex, but no, I don't miss my ex, quite the contrary. Thus I guess I'll never see them again.

Here, have a look at Marski (named after Marshal Mannerheim en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Gus). witches.town/media/5JAoVQ3ZH7V

@girltentacles I hate it when it happens. Almost every time if there's more than one other person present in the same room. :|

@alyx I guess nothing in the bio alone is sufficient for me to follow someone, not here nor anywhere else. In the end I have to see some interesting contributions anyway, and most time it's randomly found through other people's toots or public timelines.

@RexfordGTugwell @alyx It's not even horrendous (I'm more into psychological horror than this kind of abysmal creature lore), it's just the same story told again and again with minor variations. Certainly a bit much.

But hey, my cat picked this book for me, so who am I to complain!

Awww yisss, soon this endlessly repetitive and boring collection of Lovecraft's short stories will be read.

Also, , for am I not cute!
