Soon to see an apartment that would probably fit us better than our current home. It's one room smaller and thus one quarter cheaper than this, and the best thing is that it's in this same house (= same landlord).

I hope that it looks as good as we expect it to be.

Poetic #writing just isn't my thing. I'm a prosaist!

But oh well, this present text demands to be written in poetic form. Can't help it, this must be written this way. Hopefully this won't be total crap, but it's for the jury to decide.

This is just terribly slow to write. I've managed to get just 300 words today, and this is already the second version I'm writing. Still 600 more words to do.

Oh dear, I should go and buy groceries. Why must that always be so strenuous? I'd rather not eat than go to buy food, but I guess that's not an option for very long.

@margaery Ah, yes, I understand. I only talked about my own situation, which is mostly that corporate stuff takes time away from creative stuff, but I need that corporate stuff for living.

@margaery The money, yes.

No really, I have no difficulties to fill my time with interesting stuff, only some of which are considered economically important by paying entities. Coincidence or not, those easily monetized activities are also the least interesting activities.

@margaery This is pretty much how I've arranged my office at home. So it doesn't have to be just a dream, it can become reality.

I'm a freelance translator, but I guess similar arrangement is possible in other branches, too.

Oh gosh, soon I've finished my morning tea and it's time to get to work — which today is to translate some yearly finance raport of some minor corporation. I'm not looking forward to it.

@ThatDamnCat Ha! I just learned something new. In our instance it's ”Unroll this status”, and I thought that it would delete the status. Quite the contrary. :D

@sqiouyilu It's okay to not want to write. It's okay to have a pause for a few years, if need be. This trade is not a sprint burst, this is a hike around the world.

Today I wrote a background text & synopsis of my latest novel manuscript and sent them along with the manuscript to a pre-reader. Thus not a bad day.

So now that it's off my hands for a while I can concentrate on finishing that children's book manuscript, the deadline for the competition being in three weeks. But not tonight. Tonight I read and watch for the French elections.
