Hello weirder earth folks, I am with you now. I'm a writer of mostly spec fic (or, if I'm being pretentious, "magical realism", but all my friends get filed under scifi). At the moment living somewhere between Chemlab and Steely Dan.
@mediapathic Magical realism, the genre that most often delivers to me. :heart:
(But don't get me wrong, I hate that one piece of shit by García Marquéz. :rolling_eyes:)
@Stoori My personal hope is to aim between Pynchon and Borges, land somewhere around Mielville

- Carlos Ruiz Zafón
- Haruki Murakami
- Ali Shaw
@Stoori oh I must recommend Borges with the utmost fervor. I suggest starting with Dream Tigers, but any collection really is great.
The others are more subjective taste.
@mediapathic I'll look into that. It's always good to have recommendations with supporting argument. My book choices are way too haphazard, and especially Goodreads is failing hard with their recommendation system.
