I mean, is mastodon a social network or a news feed?
I know at some point you stop caring about catching up with your timeline.
But why would you do that?
anyone wanna help with pure-Rust dat? seems I need to roll my own non-monolithic crypto library, too.
bad puns keep me... uh... something...
I hate when new posts come up while I'm in the middle of clicking a "show more" CW thing.
ok, done with the reposting.
you should *always* tag content. whether in public, unlisted, followers-only, or even DM.
you can never know when someone might or might not want to see something. so just tag. even if you know them IRL, even if you're dating them, just tag.
I believe 18+ accounts are #ageist and I don't care if you think I'm wrong or a bad person or whatever.
I trust ppl to follow their local laws and parental restrictions and work restrictions and whatever else on their own.
(and, y'know, this thing has content warnings.)
knowing who follows me (and when) is a liability and I don't feel comfortable with that, for example. if you wanna follow me, you can follow me, I don't wanna know.
I'd like there to be a way to fully hide that someone's following you unless you specifically search for you/them on the following/followers lists, but being able to disable follow notifications is a significant step in the right direction.

actually, can we support more plausible deniability things in general? encrypt whatever you can, hide whatever you can, etc.
plausible deniability means disabling follow notifications and things.
gonna remake some posts/thread that I fucked up previously >.<
I should make an "every word is federated" bot...
#mastoadmins here's an idea: toot lists. the ability to combine separate posts into a thread. (perhaps limited to your own posts only.)
uh, I miiight've gotten carried away a bit... oops.
