@grainloom Recursively templated templates: first template uses second template, second template uses third template, and so on. They're also eagerly evaluated, so as soon as a template appears inside another template, it gets replaced *as part of the template*, rather than deferring the replacement to when the template is used. This can significantly reduce memory usage. Buttons? One template for them all. Posts? Just one. Columns? Same. All of mastodon, in 3 templates + very simple support JS to insert them.
@grainloom Then again templates could help cut down memory usage a bit (or a lot).
@grainloom Each mastodon post be a template with some filled-in details. Then again they already are, I guess.
@grainloom Why not templates (with eager evaluation to avoid turing-completeness)?
@somarasu you don't pay for your email provider?
@JTE #theresizeclub is the only dyslexia-friendly mastodon instance?
I uh, I think I don't know what's fake or real anymore...
I'm scared, be safe y'all. Good night.

@JTE I can if I implicitly return 0 ;)
shitpost, intentionally bad C Afficher plus
@unascribed I don't like matrix. can't we put a domainless (fuck DNS tbh) federation protocol on top of IRC instead?
@unascribed my experience with matrix has been "why do these ppl launch a botnet to spam all the IRC channels I'm in when I talk to them".
I wish you could remote-follow instances' federated timelines.
@cypnk Or a programmer. (in a context-sensitive language with glob imports.)
@jeffcliff start with this? https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/6248
I'm scared of fucking up, so I won't say I'll never fuck up.
I'm human, I'll fuck up. I'll also own up to it and apologize when I do.
