The death of Flash is a very good thing, not only because of the security implications but also because it allows Linux advocates to have one less awkward moment when they say everything works as well on Linux. (Don’t worry, they still have a lot of those)
@wxcafe problem, although many may not see it that way....what happens to those hundreds of great, nostalgic flash games?
(for example early Zachtronics, Fancy Pants Adventure etc) a lot of these things may have inspired todays games or, worse in the case of keeping history, been totally unique.
@LottieVixen @wxcafe They should still be playable if they don't need to be connected to a server and someone archives them. I don't know if any archivists are saving Flash games, though. (The Wayback Machine probably doesn't save them?)
@LottieVixen @synaesthetica @wxcafe Flash is no more unsafe than Electron. If you're ok running Electron apps you should be ok running Flash apps. Just make sure they're standalone and not deliberately eval()'ing remote content. (But then, can you ever be sure...)
