As of 2018, it is difficult to find torrents with a low seed:leech ratio. Torrents work so well, even without #tribler style blochchain incentives, that the problem isn't 'how do we incentivize people to share rather than just leech' but 'how do we incentivize people to share more rare items so it isn't just an alternative pop culture media' which is a much harder problem.
