PSA: eclipse glasses are usually available for free at public libraries. Some optometrists are also giving them away. Do not view any part of the eclipse except totality without the glasses, and put them back on before totality ends.

Par exemple, voir des notions sous un autre angle plus visuel et instinctif, afin de les comprendre (et avoir le fameux "mais bon sang, mais c'est bien sûr !")?

Le but c'est de voir qu'au final y'a une manière plus visuelle et plus intuitive de faire des maths.

Bien sûr, y'aurait aussi des fun facts sur les maths, et de l'histoire des maths (pour vous montrer qu'Euler, c'est vraiment un gars qui poutre tout en maths).

This is Asher, one of the most talented people I've ever met.

The shot was unplanned. We applied the paint and set her loose, and she just improvised and blew my mind for a couple of hours.

When I saw this shot, it looked like she was drawing on a bow, so I drew one in.

It's remained one of my favourite photos.

A little while back I saw an /r/AskHistorians question on whether there was ever a post-U.S. Civil War equivalent to "denazification".

The answer is that this is what is happening NOW. That is essentially what people are trying to do by renaming buildings, taking down statues, teaching history that doesn't whitewash or glorify slave-owners, etc.

Imagine if Germany took 150 YEARS to tear down Nazi statues, ban the swastika, etc. That's us. 🔁

Poorly designed systems can cause people to become bad actors despite their best intentions.

Imagine a narrow hallway that has doors opening into it, The hallway is so narrow that opening a door pretty much blocks the whole hallway, and the doors have no windows so you can't see who's in the hall before you open them. You can be the nicest person in the world with the best of intentions, but if you use those doors often enough, you are gonna hit someone in the face.
