I am just going to put a thank you out there to the Mastodon community that is tagging so many of their current event frustration.
Being able to choose when I and how much of it I read is sanity-saving right now.
(And I am reading it when I have the time to process, which also makes it have more impact than the onslaught of hate, anger and outrage that is currently greeting me on other sites.)

@Ewakhine Plutôt pas mal, à la base je n’avais pas envie d’y aller/n’étais pas vraiment intéressé, du coup j’y suis allé sans stress. Finalement ça a l’air pas si mal, du coup si jamais je les intéresse je me dis pourquoi pas (surtout que comme il n’y avait pas vraiment d’enjeu, je me suis lâché sur les prétentions salariales… x)
Et puis ça m’a changé les idées alors que j’allais assez mal ce matin, du coup c’était pas mal en fin de compte.

@Elizafox you can also double check that they aren't counterfit by looking at a traditional lightbulb, and if u can see the filament, they're legit. At least some sold on amazon were fake. And all it takes is someone looking for a quick buck to get counterfits mixed in with legits
PSA: eclipse glasses are usually available for free at public libraries. Some optometrists are also giving them away. Do not view any part of the eclipse except totality without the glasses, and put them back on before totality ends.
